This machine is very popular and often can be seen on the road. The main reason of its popularity isn’t the European Car of the Year award, but rather its cheap price and good road abilities. A used Nissan Micra is easily available, and there are many reasons why you should buy it, especially if you need an economical city car. First of all a used Nissan Micra is available as a three or five door hatchback, but both versions are roomy enough to comfortably seat four adults. What is even more important, the car can be equipped with one of two engines: a 1,0 litre or 1,3 litre four cylinder inline unit, both of them very ecnomical and the latter produces 77 horsepower. This much power is well enough for a car that weighs only 1830 lbs (830 kg) and the fuel consumption remains low because there are no turbochargers or other such features. Transmission of a used Nissan Micra can be either a five speed manual one or a four speed automatic gearbox and the car itself is a front engine, front wheel drive machine. Suspension consists of MacPherson struts at the front and a five link system on the rear, which makes a used Nissan Micra very stable. Braking power is guaranteed by the ventilated discs at the front and the trailing type brakes at the rear.
